This client operates 4,400 vehicles globally in 23 countries. The fleet was managed separately in each country. In order to harmonize its fleet under one global provider, the client decided to issue a Request for Proposal to a number of fleet management companies around the world.

The Solution

The client developed its own internal Global Fleet team to review the RFPs and select the one supplier. The team selected the Element-Arval Global Alliance for North America and Europe. Element and Arval immediately began to implement country-targeted consulting, with a mission to discover savings opportunities.

The Results

Over the course of 19 months, the Alliance identified potential cost savings of 12-15% in each of 18 countries where this client had fleet operations.

The Global Alliance meets regularly with the client’s Global Fleet team to provide strategic consulting, analytics and metrics on its performance.
